Egyptian novelist, is the first Arab winner of the Nobel Prize in literature Naguib Mahfouz wrote since the beginning of the forties and continued until 2004. In 1960 he served as director general of the Foundation to support the cinema, then an adviser of the General Organization for Cinema, radio and television. Another government position he held was the Chairman of the General Organization for Cinema Management (1966 - 1971), and after retirement to become a book-Ahram Foundation
